RB's Last Forest School Session!

What a fantastic morning our Reception classes had for their and final Forest School session of the year!

The children embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm, working together to create beautiful natural art. Each group displayed wonderful cooperation and discussion as they gathered leaves, twigs, and flowers, arranging them into unique designs. The sense of community was clear as the children took the time to look at each other’s creations, offering thoughtful comments about what they liked in their friends’ work.

Choosing time was filled with activity and creativity. Some children joined Mrs K in working on the dead hedge and  building a new dead hedge structure near the lime tree, learning about teamwork and nature as they worked.

Others enjoyed imaginative play with the aqua play, concocting magical potions, crafting horses, and digging in the sand pit. Laughter and excitement filled the air, with everyone fully engaged in their adventures.

The session wrapped up with a lively game of stick stick fire, where the children practised fire safety and group cooperation. To finish, we all shared a lovely last snack together, marking the end of our Forest School journey in Reception. It was a morning filled with learning, fun, and friendship—a perfect way to celebrate all the children have achieved this year!
