Good morning! Our bags are packed and we are getting ready for our final Plas Gwynant activity. We are due to depart at about 11.30am this morning. Expect to see us around the usual school home time of 3.25pm - we will keep in touch with the school office as much as possible if this time is likely to change by more than 10-15 minutes.
See you soon!
Hello all !
Another fab and energetic day at Plas today. The weather has been beautiful and the children have been amazing! They have all worked brilliantly as a team, in all of the activities that were undertaken today i.e : canoeing, abseiling, gorge walking as well as taking advantage of the scenic beach that Borth y Gest has to offer.
Last night totally amazed the staff as the children were all "zonked out" by 10.15pm! Rise and shine was 7.00 and without any moans and groans, they all carried out their duties eg tidying their bedrooms, setting the breakfast tables, cleaning out the minibuses etc etc.
After the debriefing this morning, the children were raring to go and all gave 100% throughout the day. The gorge walking and canoeing went down particularly well as it involved getting totally wet, which for obvious reasons the children loved! Mrs Vickers' group and Miss Hinton's group were little superstars , jumping off Elephant Rock
into the lake, totally letting go of all their inhibitions and just having a blast! Mr McGowan's group and Mr Postin's group enjoyed their walk on the beach and waddling through the calm sea as well as climbing and sliding down Matrix Rock.
Another enjoyable, exhilarating and exciting day tomorrow - can't believe it's our last full day!
The children have got stuck into life at Plas today, with daily duties in the morning (don't believe them when they say they don't know what a vacuum cleaner is), making their own packed lunch and some fantastic activities around Snowdonia. The Plas Gwynant internet is running at a pretty slow pace this evening, but we have a few photos from Tuesday's antics for you - hope you like looking at the photos as much as we enjoyed creating the memories! Mrs Vickers' & Miss Hinton's groups have been having fun on the beach today - and have also both been gorge walking. Mr. McGowan's group & Mr. Postin's group have both been out walking on the mountains near Plas Gwynant. It's been a gorgeous day here is Snowdonia.
