Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 4 – Dudley Zoo Trip

                                                                                                                                          

Year 4 children will be visiting Dudley Zoo on Wednesday 8th October 2025. This educational visit is part of the Year 4 science topic on human impact on the environment, food chains and animals.  The overall aims of the visit are to enhance the work done in class and provide children with a ‘hands-on’ experience.

Children will be departing within school hours. We will be returning to school ready to be collected at the end of the school day at 3.25pm, but please be patient if we arrive a little later due to traffic. As it is a school visit, children need to wear full school uniform. A water proof coat and suitable footwear would be advisable.

You will need to provide your child with a packed lunch.  If your child is entitled to free school meals and you still wish to be provided with one on this day, please indicate a choice of cheese or ham sandwich in the additional information section on your child’s ParentPay account, as one will not be provided automatically.  Please be mindful that if you request a packed lunch on ParentPay you will be charged £2.73 unless your child is entitled to free school meals.

We are asking for a contribution of £22.81 per child towards the cost of admission, workshops, transport, insurance and a goody bag.  Please refer to our Charging Policy for further details.

Please log onto your child’s ParentPay account to enable you to give your consent by Friday 5^th September 2025.  Please be mindful that the return date will be strictly adhered to, to enable purchase of tickets, organisation of transport, staffing ratios and submission of risk assessments to the local authority.
