Abbey Infant Vision
Abbey Infant School believes that its core purpose is to work in partnership with parents and carers.
Together we will provide the very best learning opportunities for our children. We want them to be happy, sociable, independent and curious and contribute to the life of the school and community. We believe that high expectations and the acquisition of basic skills lies at the heart of all learning.
Within a safe, secure environment, we believe that a curriculum that is planned, purposeful and based on experiences allows all children to work towards fulfilling their potential.
We wish to engage everyone – adults and children – in activities that are diverse, fun, relevant, personalised and without discrimination towards any individual or group so that they all go forward with confidence and optimism.
Abbey Junior Vision
The vision of Abbey Junior School is to create a positive caring atmosphere in which high expectations and standards allow every person – irrespective of gender, ability, academic and physical, culture, religion or language – to develop to their full potential. Any major racist incident will be logged and dealt with in line with the Discipline policy.
We seek to create an environment in which people develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, aesthetically and morally.
From a sound and secure base of quality teaching and learning, where the acquisition of basic skills is recognised as a foundation of all other learning, we encourage them to go forward onto a path of lifelong learning and become responsible citizens making appropriate decisions as they grow.
