Third Taster Forest School Session: An Afternoon of Discovery and Joy

We had a wonderful time at our third taster Forest School session for local families with preschool children!

The forest was alive with laughter and curiosity as children had plenty of space to roam and a variety of activities to choose from. The water and guttering station was a big hit, with little ones working together to solve problems and experiment with flowing water. Creativity was in full swing as some children tried their hand at hammering to create wooden snails, while others crafted beautiful peg butterflies or got inventive, fixing volcanoes and mixing magical potions.

There was no shortage of imaginative play—beaded worms, caterpillars, and millipedes came to life, and the mud kitchen was bustling with chefs whipping up muddy delights. Adventurous explorers hunted for mini beasts, while others enjoyed the sensory experience of nature materials, dough, and the challenging obstacle course.

We wrapped up our session in the cozy bell tent, sharing a story, a snack, and a drink. Thank you to all the families who joined us—your enthusiasm makes these sessions truly special! We can’t wait to see you at the next one.
