As part of our Design Technology work, the children in Year 6 are going to design, make and evaluate a seasonal product. The children are currently learning about different stitches and in what situations to use them. They will then apply this knowledge to create a sewn, fabric creation, which could include a Christmas decoration, bag, glasses case, cutlery holder or another great idea. They will be supplied with a range of fabric, sewing needles, threads, fabric glue and embellishments to decorate their product, using appliqué to join fabrics. We would like to invite you to come in and help your child to make their product. The sessions will be taking place on the following days; Tuesday 3rd December (6C), Wednesday 4th December (6H) and Thursday 5th December (6F). All of the workshops will start at 1.15pm and will take place in the school hall. Due to numbers and hall space, we ask that only one adult per child attend the workshop. Unfortunately, due to health and safety, we also ask that no siblings or other children attend.
