1C in the Forest!

This morning, Class 1C bounded into the forest with huge smiles, excited to be back amongst the autumn leaves.
As part of their transition programme, these sessions offer such a gentle way to settle in—and the best part is, we’ll be continuing forest school all year!
We began with a game of “123 Where Are You?” that had voices echoing through the trees-everyone joined in.
In the bell tent, children used the visualiser to take a closer look at seeds and bulbs. Afterwards, we experimented with making our own natural paint, grinding materials with a pestle and mortar and testing the colour—such creative fun!
From there, the children set off on their own adventures: treasure-hunting in the sandpit, problem-solving with water and guttering, and wonderful hammering skills. Others enjoyed planting bulbs, spotting ladybirds, raking, building sandcastles, blowing giant bubbles, and creating bird feeders.
Some children used palm drills to drill conkers with Mrs K-there are plans afoot to make conker cars!
After such busy exploring, everyone worked brilliantly to tidy up before enjoying a snack and a final game of “Stick, Stick, Fire.”
