1R Return to the Forest!

1R had a fantastic first session back in the forest!
Once again, we didn't take very many pictures as we were having lots of fun. There was heaps of fun to be had in the sand pit some great conversations and cooperation with the guttering and different water play. Huge creativity creating potions and feasts in the mud kitchen and the children were really enjoying being back and exploring. Some children were doing great job digging over the mini wild flower meadow ready to be re-seeded this term.
There were some intrepid explorers who were really keen to climb trees and they set off with Mrs K to find some safe climbing trees. There was also interest in spotting birds and set up a photo bird hunt to practice spotting birds-we did see some magpies in the forest too. There were some great bird feeders made and hung up too.
Next time we will continue to learn more about the different types of birds and climb trees. We may also use the tools to make some creatures! It is starting to get a littler colder and wetter, so make sure to check the weather forecast and come in lots of layers and waterproof boots!
