More Forest Fun!

What a fantastic session we had under the bright, sunny sky!
Together, the children and adults built a huge obstacle course, turning the forest into an exciting playground. This wasn’t just about fun — it was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn how to move large planks and sticks safely, practicing important physical skills while working as a team.
The children were fully engaged, taking the lead in directing their play and learning.
They practised both gross motor skills, like lifting and balancing, and fine motor skills through careful handling of smaller materials and even freeing trapped pine cones!
Along the way, we discovered fascinating bugs, including ladybird larvae, sparking curiosity and conversations about nature.
A real highlight was when the children created their own signs, designed to look after the forest and help everyone remember how to keep things safe. This child-led activity encouraged them to think about the environment and the importance of safety, giving them ownership over their learning and their play space.
Our time in the forest was filled with cooperation, teamwork, and plenty of questions and answers, helping the children develop communication and problem-solving skills.
This session perfectly combined learning, exploration, and fun — a great reminder of the endless benefits of outdoor activities for children’s growth and development.
We can’t wait for the next adventure!
