Wet, Wonderful and Toasting S'mores
RS has two fantastic session of forest school before half term.
We had a wet and wonderful session where we embraced the rain! There was some stupendous puddle splashing (although we only have a couple of photos) followed by exploring different sounds the rain and drippy trees could make on bowls, tins and metal plates. We then explored to find some fantastic textures using a foil rubbing technique. We explored some different artists mediums in the tent (water colour crayons, water colour wax crayons, water soluble pens) and pegged them out to see how the rain would change them. Then we all made wands and we used some magical rhymes to see if we could invite in some dryer weather!
RS's final session was a celebration of all the fun we have had so far and everyone toasted their own s'more. This involved lots of thinking about how to stay safe, patience whilst waiting for their turn and some great singing-RS love a good campfire sing-along led by Miss Stocking!
