Year 2 Forest School Day-Group 1.

Our first group of Year 2 children enjoyed a truly magical Forest School Day on Wednesday!

The excitement was palpable as the children set out to create enchanting fairy scenes, working together to meet every part of their challenge. Collaborative discussions helped each group decide what to include, and everyone took on different jobs, ensuring each child contributed to the final masterpiece.

Some budding builders learned to use the bow saw, hatchet, and mallet with Mrs K, crafting chairs, tables, and even a slide for their fairy friends. Others painted log houses, built ladders from sticks and string, and even ponds and roof gardens.

The children took great care collecting just the right sticks and stones, thoughtfully arranging everything to bring their woodland scenes to life.

After sharing and admiring each other’s work—with plenty of compliments—the fun continued with giant bubbles, potion-making, using the slack-line, hammock swinging, and crafting gods eyes and seed balls.

Pine cone throwing and water play added even more laughter and adventure.

It was a fabulous day, enjoyed by all. Well done, Year 2—your teamwork and creativity shone brightly!
