Day 1
We arrived safely with all the children very excited about the days ahead! On arrival, the children were greeted by friendly staff members who gave the children a grand tour of the building and showed them their bedrooms for the next two nights. Once the children were settled, they tucked into their sandwiches (tasty)! After lunch, the children were split into four groups and went off for some great outdoor learning which involved; pond Dipping, Bushcraft with food, being woodland detectives and creating their own Treasure Islands. The children had an amazing time! Next, the children were taught how to make their beds (toughest task of the day) which they completed, working well as a team. As a treat, the children earned delicious fish fingers and chips for supper followed by sweet jelly for dessert! Yummy! To end the day, the children were taken on an adventurous walk to 'The Magic Tree.' A hot chocolate with a biscuit was thoroughly enjoyed before going up to bed for a story. A great first day!
Day 3
There were a few tired eyes as the children woke up to bright sunshine on their final day at camp following a really good night's sleep. Beds were uncovered and suitcases were packed brilliantly with great teamwork on show before they made their way down for breakfast.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
