Dear Parents/ Carers,
Today, your child will be bringing home some targets which have been set by your child's teacher.
There will be one English, one Maths and one specific target which we will be working on in Nursery over the coming weeks and months.
We ask that you also help your child at home to achieve these targets and let us know, by completing and returning the bottom part of the sheet, with any evidence to support meeting these, such as any photos or comments.
We appreciate your continued support in helping your child reach their maximum potential.
Best wishes,

Dear Parent's/ Carers,
Staring next week, we will begin 'Number of the Week' and 'Letter of the Week' with the Nursery children.
We will be focusing on one number each week, finding the number in the environment, representing the number with our fingers, numerals, dice, numicon etc and will practice writing the number correctly.
We will also focus on one letter/ sound per week, looking for the letter in the Nursery environment and on familiar print such as signs and symbols eg. Asda.
We will learn the letter name and the sound that it makes, sing a song to help us remember the sound and practice writing the letter correctly.
There will be a sign on the Nursery door telling you what the Number and Letter of the week is, we would appreciate your support to reinforce the learning at home through fun games such as going on a number hunt and looking for letters on your walk home from Nursery, talking to your child about what sound objects begin with and playing games such as 'can you do 3 claps, jumps, stomps? etc...'
Thank you for your continued support, please feel free to speak to me for more ideas or ways to help your child at home.
Best wishes,
Miss Harwood
Assistant Headteacher for EYFS & Nursery Teacher

Nursery and Reception: 20th July. Children can come dressed in party clothes. They will be offered an ice lolly/freeze pop. Let the class teacher know if you don’t want your child to have one.

Dear Parents/Carers
Weather permitting, Nursery will be holding their Summer Fun Morning on Thursday 13th July from 10.15am until 11.15am in Nursery.
This will be a bit like a ‘stay and play’ with some Summer themed activities for you to do with your child. These include crafts, a ‘treasure’ hunt and some games. Freeze pops will also be available for each child. We are asking for a small donation of £1 per child to cover this event which can be given in cash to Nursery staff.
Younger siblings are welcome but they will be under your supervision and we do not have the facilities to accommodate pushchairs and prams at this event. We do anticipate it will be very busy so we are asking that no more than two adults attend per child. To avoid disappointment, please be aware that should more than two adults per child arrive, they will be refused entry. In order to maintain fairness, there will be no ‘waiting list’ or option to take another family’s spare space.
If you are unable to attend staff will ensure your child still has lots of fun and joins in the activities.
On Friday 14th of July during Nursery your children will have the opportunity to go on a bouncy castle during their normal Nursery session. Children will be dropped off and collected as normal. Please let the Nursery know if you DO NOT wish for your child to go on the bouncy castle.
We hope to see you on Thursday 13th July.
The Nursery staff
